In late 2018 Dr Ram will take a spinal cord injury team from Tana to India to the Christian Medical College in Vellore to learn from their long experience of managing spinal cord injury in a low resource setting. The Malagasy will also learn about their Community Rehabilitation projects. Spinal cord injury rehabilitation is beginning in Fianarantsoa, some 6hrs away from the capital, under the direction of another of our DU graduates, Dr Emodeur. He and a member of his team will go with Dr Ram and Dr Renaud (who supports them) to the AFSCIN meeting in the autumn.
