Personalising your email for every individual recipient can improve open rates, engagement rates, and click-through. Write as if you are writing personally to one person by using the recipient’s first name, speak directly using ‘you’, and sign off with your personal name rather than your corporate brand name so that the email is coming from a real person.

Users will learn “exactly” how he started 2 multi-million dollar businesses. He even includes humor by saying users will learn where to find the best tacos in the world. His sub text is short, to the point and doesn’t give away too much information. This is key. If he told users how he started his business or even gave a hint, people may be less likely to convert.

Of all parts of the Rule of One, your One Reader is the most important. You can’t write an effective page without first identifying your One Reader. Once you know your One Reader well, you know what pains drive them, what benefits they’re looking for, what offer they’re most likely to respond best to, what kinds of social proof will move them—the list goes on. You do not have to get incredibly detailed on your One Reader, but you do have to know them well enough to look at the above list of definitions of perfect parking and know which one they would choose if they could only choose one.

The first autoresponders were created within mail transfer agents that found they could not deliver an e-mail to a given address. Contain engaging copy. Kiss Metrics suggests using specific “hypnotic” words to entrance visitors. Using the word “you” makes your copy feel personal to visitors and allows for intimate conversation. The word “imagine” encourages readers to visualize using your product and increases desire. Including the word “because” explains to visitors why they should take a specific action. Try these mind-bending words on your landing page.

This article is informative, but it does not offer distinguishing features between the services covered (other than mailchimp is free). You seemed to go to great lengths to say good things about each – although I’m sure each services has positive aspects. I would have benefited much more from a rating of some sort of the various features of each service, or at least the pros & cons of each.
Unsubscribe rate. Unsubscribes are always going to happen no matter what, and that’s usually OK because those people probably would never have bought from you anyway. However, a high unsubscribe rate can indicate that you are losing potential customers. Check the following: Why did people subscribe to your list in the first place, and are you delivering on that promise? Is the content of your autoresponder highly relevant to the segment it is being sent to? Are you sending too many sales emails with too little value emails?
